One-way ticket to half way across the globe!

A picture of me on my graduation day.

As an Indian, I lived with my parents in their house for many years, including my adult years when I had a job in India. A one-way ticket to the US meant that I had an opportunity to prove myself, be more independent & explore different cultures. I always loved exploring new cultures. I knew I had a travel bug in me.

In 2015, I decided to fly to USA to pursue my Masters in Business (MBA) degree. Best decision of my life. Made friends, learned how to live alone & look after myself. The first few months were a total culture shock. I was in denial about my culture shock initially – how could I have one? After all, I watched a lot of Hollywood movies & I considered myself very familiar with the culture. NOT!

Life taught me to take care of myself, study, meet friends, save money, spend money, pay rent, clean toilets (we had a maid back home for this) & as a result be humbled, party, apply for jobs etc. I loved & learned the process.

In 2017 I landed a job with risk management that truly was my first venture into corporate America. I loved my job and I learned to be a boss bi$$h of my life 🙂

And what happened to the money I made from my job? Pssh, I travelled far & wide to the most amazing parts of the world & I continue to. In fact, I met my now husband during a solo trip to Ireland. I will tell you about it in future posts 🙂

My job kept me super busy and I had limited vacation time. However, I perfected the art of travelling internationally with limited time off. I was always passionate about solving the problem of maximizing vacation time with limited days off from work, sometimes as limited as 2 days off.

Now, I would love to help you in every way I can with my travel itineraries, so you don’t stress out taking time out of your busy schedule to do boring trip planning logistics. I offer you a one-pager travel guide with detailed itinerary so you can save yourself the hassle of reading through, mildly put, ad-infested blog posts.

Enjoy! & Seek your adventure!

Alisha out 🙂
